If you’re looking for a fancy dessert place to satisfy your inner sweet tooth, then this is the place for you. Foo Foo serves up beautiful plates of luxurious treats, inspired by fine French desserts to appeal to the posh person in all of us. Most of their dishes show up all the time on Instagram because they’re just so damn photogenic, like their crisp profiteroles filled with salted caramel and coffee ice cream, feather-light passion fruit pavlova with lime chantilly, and tangy mango lychee ice cream slice with fruit salsa, among others.

They also specialize in creating unique ice cream flavours, the most notable of which would be rose petal, kaffir lime, and even balsamic vinegar! Even though their prices might be a little on the steep side for some, many have sung their praises about this delectable dessert joint, citing their delight in the quality of the dishes served. Make sure to stop by for your fix of sweets!

This newly opened labour of love in Section 17, Petaling Jaya pays homage to exquisite French desserts, and owner Xiao-Ly does not disappoint in that respect. Her pastries are crafted to perfection, and the finished dish looks as good as it tastes. Notable desserts include Le Cerf, a crispy, crumbly base topped with hazelnut daquoise, chocolate moelleux, chocolate Chantilly cream, and the finishing touch of a deer-shaped chocolate thin, or La Vie En Rose, a pretty pink concoction of shortbread crust, choux pastry filled with raspberry jam, all held together with rose chantilly cream and topped with a rose petal.

Not only are the desserts nice to look at, the whole café is too. With its minimalistic, modern design and intimate seating, this is the perfect place to impress that special someone in your life. However, do note that Xiao by Crustz will rotate their menu every so often, so be sure to visit quick if you want to try out their current range of desserts!
